Peyote The peyote cactus has a long history of spiritual, ritual, religious and medicinal use by native Americans. The peyote, however, is now currently used worldwide as a recreational drug, due to its psychoactive alkaloids, particularly mescaline.

Default Only some

This is what I have heard, that unless you are invited onto tribal land, only some people will ever in their life try this. I knew someone that was married to a Navajo (in Az or Ca, I forget which) and his wife was invited by the family to try it but she said it was something that she could really not put into words. Is this still the same rule that applies now? He told me this story almost 10 years ago.
