Klonopin Klonopin is a trade name for clonazepam, a highly potent anticonvulsant, muscle relaxant and anxiolytic benzodiazepine derivative. There are a number of clonazepam side effects, so it is prudent to know them, as well as the proper clonazepam dosage and other clonazepam inormation before taking this drug.

Hmmn... what's more if you sell these drugs, they can give your teens a very good income. One Oxycontin pill costs $40 dollars, which could translate into a rainfall for your kids. There have been many instances when these drugs are taken from home, usually prescribed for a kid's sibling or parents, or often for themselves. And then sold at school.

One of the most alarming thing that I've heard from my kids is the so-called "pharm parties" where you need to bring a prescription pill to gain entry to the party. The pills are then dropped into a bowl and the partiers get what they like, often mixing drugs and taking them with alcohol.

How do we avoid this? Well, as a parent, make sure that your prescription medicines at home are not open to abuse, if they are, then make sure to talk to your kids about it. Also find out from them if there have been kids at school who are taking prescription drugs when they shouldn't.

I think you should also take steps to make sure that your kids don't have access to potentially addictive prescription drugs. Make sure that you take an inventory of the pills you have in your cabinet. If it gets depleted quickly, then there's something to worry about. Also try to find other places to hide your prescription drugs.

It is also important to talk to your kids about the hazards of prescription drugs. Tell them that it is as dangerous as illicit drugs like marijuana, LSD or other similar recreational drugs. And it's not just about overdosing, but mixing it with alcohol and other drugs as well.

Klonopin falls into a group of prescription drugs call benzos for short. They are non-narcotic and fall into the sedative or hypnotic catagory. It is pretty potent as far as benzos go and I would rate it somewhere up there with valium and xanax. Klonopin is often prescribed for restless leg syndrome, anxiety, seizures, chronic panic attacks, muscle relaxant, and as a tranquilizer. As previously stated in this post it is in fact a generic for clonazepam. Although Klonopin is non-narcotic it does have a high potential for abuse and addiction due to its euphoric affects when taken recreationally. Like other benzos it has a drowsy high which can be compared with alcohol. For someone without a tolerance 4 mg would be considered a potent dose and extreme caution should be taken when mixing benzos with alcohol or opiates as most of the cases where people overdose off of either are because it usually involves a scenario where the two are mixed. My friends little brother recently passed away because he mixed xanax which is also a benzo with a moderate dose of MsContin which is an opiate. He did not take an absurd amount of either drug but together they formed a deadly combination. I'm not trying to scare anybody but keep in mind that moderation is key to recreational drug use.

Default Just what is Klonopin

I went to my pdoc today for a regular appointment and explained how I have been depressed, anxious, and agitated lately. They asked me about Abilify but I am afraid to take that because it caused increased appetite.
