Default What really happens during detoxifications among detox centers?

Does this involve surgery? Or just a state of mind.

I think before we will discuss what happens during detoxification, it is better if we defined first what is detoxification. Well, from the world itself, detox…it is like removing all sorts of toxic inside one’s body. During the detoxification process, the patients are being taught in the centers how to withdraw their “vices” that have caused this toxics. Aside from medical prescriptions, patients are being encouraged to take part into sports or other physical activities that will help them sweat out.

Detoxification really depends on what “substance” does the person will be detoxified. Usually, cases that led to this are on the addiction of drugs and alcohol. In detox centers, these people (who I considered as victims) are taught how to withdraw from these toxic-containing substances.

I agree. I have a cousin who enrolled in a detox center because of her addiction to drugs. She was taught at first how to withdraw from the drugs. Darn! I’ve seen how worst it was…worst in a sense that I saw how she struggled deeply in the first many steps for being drug free.

since we are going too academic here...let me join the bandwagon...hehehe.
Well for me, Detoxification goes side-by-side with withdrawal. If one withdraws (like from drugs or alcohol), he or she also detoxifies his/her body. Detox aides the not-so good conditions of going through drug withdrawal.

class dismissed...lol

Default Facial detox

Just a taught though….to loosen up the topic a little bit..How about detox facial? I’ve heard so much good stuff about that. But basically, just as the detoxification of the inner system of our health and fitness, facial detox is cleaning the face from toxic, dirt, and acne using laser. Just got no idea what is the difference of this from a regular facial cleaning.

What about detoxing your body of wastes?

There are many different diets out there (and diet centers) that will have you go through a detoxing period, where you clean your body of waste before you real start attacking the actual diet.

lol.... Facial detox is, indeed, a very refreshing pampering of one’s self. But seriously, what do people usually do in detox centers so that their bodies will be "cleaned?"

According to my cousin, most detox centers nowadays give treatment to patients so that physical withdrawal of drugs/alcohol will not be experienced. During a high-quality detox process, counseling is being done as well as the physical withdrawal of drugs or alcohol.

Why is that there is still counseling when, in fact, during the detox process, detox centers teach patients how to physically withdraw from materials that have contributed toxics in one’s body?
