You mean psilocybin mushrooms are not poisonous? I thought that it's the poison that causes the hallucinations?

no, not really, the National Institute for Occuptaional Safety and Health has rated shrooms to be less toxic than aspirin.

Thank you! Several all-knowing people have tried telling me that shrooms don't affect the stomach. They give me horrible, menstrual-like stomach cramps. They also make me feel like things are crawling all over me. Not a fan.

Less toxic than aspirin, that is amazing.

The only bad trip I had on mushrooms was an upset stomach from eating dried ones. I can't eat them now, the smell makes me ill. But I don't think they're like LSD. For one, you almost never knew what you were getting when you purchased "LSD." Could be speed, PCP, anything. Mushrooms you always knew, especially if you purchased them in Europe from a reputable dealer, or picked them yourself.

Poisonous mushrooms can cause all kinds of symptoms, delirium among them. Non-toxic hallucinogenic mushrooms cause cause hallucinations and sensory distortion, but this is not because they're poisonous.

the effects are similar, however, the trip achieved on shrooms is a much "cleaner" experience...more colorful, less chance of a bad experience but does depend on surroundings and frame of mind at ingestion.

So did you mean to say that mushroom is not good for health and some of mushrooms are of this kind which may harmful and some are good to use.
