Actually a lot of prescription drugs are being abused, it's not the other way around. MDMA is dagnerous stuff and the thought of having another substance open to abuse is kinda scary for me.

Hi Marie:

News, alcohol can be pretty nasty too

Not only the fear of brain damage, if you have been reading about the side effects of the drug that should be reason enough for you to stay away.

A few drinks? Alcohol can kill! Just because you can drink at clubs and it is not prohibited, there are some pretty negative consequences from drinking too!

MDMA increases ventromedial prefrontal activity and decreases amygdala activity, which may improve emotional regulation and decrease avoidance.

MDMA increases norepinephrine release and circulating cortisol levels, which may facilitate emotional engagement and enhance extinction of learned fear associations.

Come on people, the blatant ignorance and hypocrisy is staggering.
Have any of you actually tried it?
Just because something is potently dangerous when abused doesn't make it evil flat out.

I'm not saying use drugs and I'm not saying don't drink; I'm saying be informed, get the pros AND cons of the subject in question and make your decisions based on the truth, not biases and fear of the unknown.

For unbiased, well researched information on just about any substance you could want to know about, including experience reports, check out:
Erowid

for MDMA specifically; Erowid MDMA (Ecstasy) Vault

The subject of drugs is complex, it doesn't boil down to the simplicities some of you seem to assume.

Thank you. Pretty well said. I don't believe people are advocating drinking!

Actually, this could just help a lot of sufferers. Just because MDMA is the same drug as ecstasy, doesnt mean that it could have any good effects.
