Have you tried Omega 3 and/or Vitamin E for weight loss on Paxil?

I've been doing a lot of research on what might help me lose the 40 pounds I put on while taking Paxil. I'm seeing lots of discussions about taking Omega 3 fatty acids and Vitamin E to help the body produce more leptin. Apparently leptin is affected by the use of Paxil and can slow down the metabolism.
This would explain why soooo many of us diet and excersize like crazy and never lose a pound! It's not all about food intake if the Paxil is changing how our bodies use the fat burning hormone leptin.
I have bought these supplements and am going to try them. I was wondering if anyone else already has. DOes anyone know where there is research on this subject?
By the way, Paxil has changed my life and I REALLY don't want to get off of it. I've tried other meds and this is the most effective. My goal is to figure out how to stay on Paxil and lose the weight.

This is the one thing I do take consistantly even though I avoid most other substances. I had gained weight but I didn't attribute it to the Paxil. I'll have to try this combo and see what happens. The Omega 3 will be healthy for my cholesterol level anyway. Thanks for the tip and let's hope it works for both of us.

When I first started taking Paxil many years ago, I didn`t gain any weight. It wasn`t until about 10 years ago that I did. I figured it was because my appetite was so big. Then I saw something online about weight gain while on Paxil. I switched around to different meds until I found Zolft. It works for me just as good as the Paxil did without the weight gain. I take fish oil capsules too but that wasn`t helping. I have found that taking Straterra has kept my weight down. I was prescribed that for adult ADD. I tried to go off it bu the weight came back. But not as bad as the Paxil did. Oh these meds drive me nuts. I wish I could function without any of them.

You'd think that they've been on the market long enough that the FDA could find a way to tweek them so they don't cause weight gain problems. Maybe that's on the horizon. At least, let's hope!
