Zyban would a doc prescribe?

could anyone tell me if the doctor would allow zyban to help stop smoking after having a small heart attack for which i have had a stent put in,someone told me tha a doctor wouldent prescribe it in these circumstances,but i had never heard of this before,i am on medication such as beta blocker,cholestrel and blood pressure tablets just as preventative as my BP and cholestrel were fine when i had the attack
