| Food Addiction We all eat to live. Food addicts, however, live to eat, as they compulsively and obsessively crave for and eat food even when they're not hungry; typically when they're depressed. |

Hi there
I would like to carry out research on the gender differences in food addiction for a research project as part of a university assignment, was wondering whether I could use your forum in order to gather data. I am extremely interested in this topic, and would like to find out about different experiences which males and females go through in coping with their addiction. Food addiction is not widely researched, and its generally not thought of as an addiction, so i would like to investigate it. food addiction is generally thought of as a 'women's problem' , so thought that it would be interesting to see if men experience it differently to women. I wonder if it would be feasable, and whether there would be males who post on the forum, to be able to gain insight in both the female and male experience. thanks |

My research would involve analysing people's postings on the forum, as well as posting a survey for members of the group to answer if they wish. Members would ensure all data would be ensured of confidentuality, and can also let me know if they do not wish their posts to be analysed. Please let me know if it is okay for me to use your forum for my research.
