I had exercise addiction, and to be honest, the hardest thing was that it was not a recognized addiction back then. I thought that what I was doing was normal since I'd see people like me hit the gym. When I started going more and more, I thought that the others were softies who couldn't keep up.
I actually congratulated myself for being dedicated. But then things went wrong. I neglected other things in my life, I didn't see my family often, I fought with friends, I failed my exams. The thing is, nobody thought it was an addiction! Even myself. |

what's more, I've gained an addict profile. meaning if I were addicted to exercise, it was easy to get addicted to other things as well. Like chocolates, and all that.

I've heard about this. If you have an addictive personality, you are more at risk to be addicted to other behavioral addictions as well... but is this scientifically proven?
