I think that it's better if you come up with a pro and con list. Be as objective as possible. when your will falters, you can read this list and find out why you wanted to quit in the first place.

Decide on a stop date and then enlist everybody's help to help you quit by that stop date. It doesn't have to be immediately, it could be next week or next month, but still, having a target date could help you.

that's a great idea, also if you find that your pro list is just too long, then that's one sign that you don't want to quit in the first place. Don't waste your time.

Remember that smoking is an addiction, so you will need zyban to get over it. There are other medications and therapies that will help you with your addiction, talk to your doctor about it.

I think you also need to find a replacement habit for your smoking. Some people turn their attention to food, this is not a great replacement habit becuase you'd soon become addicted to food too. I suggest you take up a hobby that you can take anywhere, like cross-stitching or solving puzzles... rubiks cube

I like using the nicotine patch. It works great. I also like to drink alot of coffee, it really helps. I like to taper off with Quest cigarettes. They do not have alot of nicotine so it makes the process alot easier.
