Default Arkansas allots $200,000 for treatment of gambling addiction
According to the Department of Health and Human Services, about 20 to 25 Arkansans contact the national gambling helping line a month. Thus, the state has allotted $200,000 for that specific issue. $15,000 will be used for a helpline, $18,000 will be used to train counselors, and the remaining money will go towards actual treatment. They hope to have the hotline up and running by the start of October.

Well, I think it is a good thing that they allotted budget for treating gambling addicts.

Well, who can blame them. I've watch some poker tournaments and it was quite addictive. I could understand how people could get addicted to poker, millions of dollar in payouts and then the winners are treated like celebrity!
