| Cocaine Extracted from the leaves of the coca bush, cocaine is one of the most popular drugs in the market, with cocaine use growing by the day. In the U.S alone, the increasing number of cocaine addicts has given the cocaine market an estimated street value of over $70 billion dollars. That's a lot of demand for cocaine, which essentially guarantees that the drug will remain in supply and addiction will continue to be a problem. |

I've actually heard about this. The study will take five years right, and aims to contribute to a greater understanding of addiction, relapses and most importantly, treatment.

I have just read this over the net. The study is includes Barry Setlow, a psychology professor there. Setlow says that he hopes the study could help addicts. It is a five year study and they have received around $1.4 million in grant from the federal government.

I really don't think that you'd need $1.4 million to know the effects of addiction.

I agree. This is a waste of money

Actually, while the study focuses on cocaine, Barry Setlow, a psychology professor at Texas A&M says that the 5-year study aims to study addiction as a whole, to know how addiction works, why it relapses and possible treatments.
